DISINFORMATION SUSCEPTIBILITY STUDY
Fielded by Verasight from February 11 – 14, 2024, the online voter-file matched survey of nationally representative sample of 4000 U.S. resident adults with 5 oversamples (N=250 each, 1250 total) of MENA, Black , Jewish, college students, and 18-35 year olds.
Designed by Dr. Janay Cody, our Disinformation Susceptibility Study revealed:
More than 70% of the American electorate is susceptible to disinformation.
Disinformation susceptibility cuts across most demographics and partisan lines.
On average, Americans can identify disinformation only about a third of the time.
